THE DIASPORA AND SUSTAINABLE ISLAND STATE

There is need to develop a holistic strategic agenda which focuses on building and integrating key sectors of the national economy within the sustainability framework. The growth and further expansion of these sectors will help to usher Saint Kitts and Nevis into a new age which is undergirded by resourcefulness and resilience. In Session 3, the panellists will address how the Diaspora can engage in activities that will bolster the agriculture and food processing capacities of the country while developing a hospitality sector that focuses on promoting and preserving our ecosystem. The panel is rounded out with a discussion on the safeguards that are needed to secure needed economic, social and cultural wellbeing of our people.
